Product boundary

Cotly publishes identical, periodic, descriptive statistics derived from public-domain CFTC Commitments of Traders reports. Outputs are the same for every customer. Cotly does not provide personalized portfolio guidance, event-timed alerts framed as timing cues, or strategy performance claims.

FORBIDDEN_EXAMPLE (never use in product copy): directional calls such as “net long is too high; reduce positions.” Allowed example: “Noncommercial net long is at the 92nd percentile of the past 3 years.”

Nothing on this site or in the API is investment, legal, or tax advice. You are responsible for how you use public data. High-stakes decisions belong with qualified human professionals.

Data license

Underlying CFTC report data is a U.S. federal government work under 17 U.S.C. §105 (public domain). Cotly’s cleaning pipeline, API, and site software are provided as a commercial service under your subscription terms.

Service level

Data updates weekly following CFTC publication. The HTTP API is best-effort. There is no 24×7 human support desk; documentation is self-serve.

Privacy

We store email addresses, API key hashes, usage counters, and billing references needed to operate the service. Personal data is not sold.
